CEO speaks up for rural areas

Members of NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association are teaming up to ensure
everyone, especially those in rural areas, can access essential services. Catherine
Moyer, the CEO of Pioneer Communications, recently emphasized the importance of
universal service for both the cooperative and local communities. She explained that
reliable internet access is vital for businesses to prosper, students to learn effectively,
and families to maintain connections with loved ones.
To achieve this goal, the federal Universal Service Fund (USF) plays a crucial role.
This fund, along with precise broadband maps, helps rural communities secure the
internet access they need to flourish. Accurate maps ensure that these areas are
properly identified and prioritized for service improvements. Together, these efforts are
making a significant difference in bringing high-quality internet to rural communities,
helping them grow and succeed.
