Joseph B. Chilen and Earl B. Williams Memorial Scholarships
Pioneer Communications is honored to offer the Joseph B. Chilen and Earl B. Williams Memorial Scholarships to eligible graduating seniors in 2025.
● Eligibility: Applicants must be graduating seniors, and their parent or guardian must be a Pioneer Communications customer.
● Application Requirements: A completed application and a transcript from the first semester of the student’s senior year.
● Deadline: Applications must be submitted by March 21, 2025.

Fort Hays Tech|North Central Sponsorship Program
Are you ready to launch a career in telecommunications? Pioneer Communications’ Education Sponsorship Program at Fort Hays Tech|North Central (formerly NCK Tech) in Hays, Kansas, is your ticket to a bright future!
● Program Details: Students will participate in Fort Hays Tech|North Central’s Telecommunications & Network Technology program, which includes a paid internship and employment opportunity upon graduation.
● What’s Covered: Tuition, books, housing, and tools (if applicable).
● Eligibility: Applicants must provide proof of application or admittance to the program.

Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Scholarship
Pioneer Communications is a proud sponsor of the FRS Scholarship, designed for graduating seniors in our service area. FRS annually awards scholarships to rural students for their first year of 2-year or 4-year college, or vocational school. All applicants require sponsorship by Pioneer Communications to be eligible.
● Eligibility: Students must list Pioneer Communications as their family’s telecommunications provider.
● Deadline: Apply by February 14, 2025

FRS Youth Tour for High School – Sophomores & Juniors
Since 1995, the FRS Youth Tour has offered students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore Washington, D.C., while learning about rural broadband and meeting peers from across the country.
● Dates: June 1–5, 2025.
● Eligibility: Students must be 16 or 17 years old at the time of the tour.
● What’s Included: Pioneer Communications covers registration, airfare, lodging, meals, and more. Participants will also receive $150 in spending money.
● Deadline: Applications are due by March 3, 2025.
